Walking in the Beautiful Algarve

Each year, between September and May, our walk co-ordinator Jan Bradford organizes, and often leads, walks that explore the beautiful region of the Algarve. These walks are held once a month and are announced during morning worship service. Jan also provides flyers for each walk that give information on the venue, approximate walk time and degree of difficulty. There are walks in the countryside which is beautiful and not very well known to many visitors, hikes on top of coastal cliffs and on the beach, or pleasant, easy walks through nature reserves - something for everyone's taste and ability. Detailed information will be made available in good time before each walk.

If you would like to lead a walk at any time, please contact Jan Bradford on 00351 918700524

Next Walk - Saturday 29th February
Walking in the Beautiful Algarve

Saturday 29th February 2020: 9.30

This walk will start and finish at the lower ICEA church car park. Meeting time from 9.30 to leave at 10.00 on foot.

This will be a more "challenging" walk; very little will be on tarmac so sturdy walking shoes or boots will be required. The terrain will be varied and rugged; only half of it will be on flat(ish) ground. But after the climb the views will be nothing short of spectacular! This will be a 2½ hour walk, with plenty of stops along the way to take in the views.

As always, please wear suitable walking shoes, come equipped for the sun and bring water, a light snack, a smile and a friend!

For more information phone the walk leader Jan Bradford, 00351 918700524.

If you would like to lead a walk in the future please let Jan know by phoning the above number or speaking to her after any Sunday service.

"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
